Figure Skating Goals Sheet

Hi Skateria Friends!

My first session back on the ice after a 3 year hiatus was 2 hours in heaven. My passion and love for the sport came back as soon as I smelt that smell (you know the smell) and minutes after being on the ice I was making preparations in my head for my figure skating comeback- what I hoped to achieve and how to do it. In this spirit I have crafted this awesome free Figure Skating Goal Setting Sheet.

Before we get to the Figure Skating Goal Sheet, here are some great tips on setting 'SMART' goals!

S - Specific

When setting goals, a specific goal has a far greater chance of being achieved, compared to a general goal. For example a general goal would be to 'become a better skater.' But a specific goal would be 'pass my Juvenile Free Skate Test.'

M - Measurable

It is important to set a solid criteria to measure progress and success on your way to achieving your goals. Don't forget to track your progress toward your goal and reward yourself for your hard work!

A - Action Oriented

Big goals set should be broken up into smaller achievable goals or steps, think of the steps you need to take in order to achieve your goals. Action words are important here!

R - Realistic

With that being said all goals should be realistic, setting yourself a ridiculously high goal can be a great disappointment and extremely discouraging. Only set goals you are both willing and able to work towards. That being said- don't be afraid to push yourself, you never know if you don't try!

T - Timely

Many times a goal goes unachieved due to a lack of a deadline. Setting a date gives you a clear objective and a sense of urgency!
